Homecourt

Blue Water Arena

With a capacity of 17,442 spectators, the Blue Water Arena is Denmark's fourth-largest stadium, surpassed only by Parken, Brøndby Stadion, and Ceres Park in Aarhus. The Blue Water Arena underwent extensive renovations in 2008-2009 and is now a state-of-the-art football facility that meets all UEFA requirements for national and international matches.

The history of the club

On July 23, 1924, the two biggest football clubs in Esbjerg, E.B. 98 and Esbjerg Amatør Klub, agreed to merge, giving birth to Esbjerg forenede Boldklubber (Esbjerg United Football Clubs). The first match was won with a resounding 7-0 victory over Kolding IF. In the 1960s, EfB became a powerhouse in Danish football, winning the Danish championship four times. In August 2009, Esbjerg Municipality and EfB jointly inaugurated the new football stadium, Blue Water Arena, with a capacity of over 17,000 spectators. The hope was for the stadium to become a base and contribute to ensuring EfB's success for many years to come.

However, things haven't gone quite as planned in recent years. EfB has experienced a roller coaster ride and currently finds itself in the 2nd division in the 2022/2023 season. The goal is clear: to find the best football and work together as a club to make the journey back to Denmark's top football league.
