What can you experience
The lake itself is surrounded by deciduous forest, and the varied landscape provides shelter to a wide variety of rich flora and fauna. For example, you may be lucky enough to see spotted woodpeckers, reed buntings, skylarks and snipes.
Guldager Møllebæk was channelized in 1991, and since that time gravel bars have been laid to improve the conditions for the stream’s fish and small animals.
There are two fishing spots by Guldager Mølledam, and you can fish in the lake if you have a fishing license. You may be able to catch pike, roach or trout, and once in a while, sea trout swim upstream to the lake from Guldager Møllebæk.
