Vedels Anlæg

Vedels Anlæg is a large park located near the Ribe train station, along the Ribe River. The location is often used for events such as concerts, theatre and other outdoor gatherings.

What you can experience

A large oval place constitutes the heart of the gardens, and here you will find a bust of the historian, Anders Sørensen Vedel, whom the gardens have been named for. The gardens are of a size that makes it easy to combine a visit with more sightseeing in Ribe. On a sunny day, shade can be found under the tall, impressive trees that are close to 140 years old.

The gardens are well-suited for a taking a break when visiting the other sights of Ribe.
