What you can experience
The skating rink offers fun and challenge for all ages, no matter how accomplished you are at skating. The rink has an ice ramp, an ice-covered children’s slide and two ice bumps.
The skating rink is free. If you don’t have your own skates you can rent them, as well as helmets and skating frames for small children at the booth by the rink. Also, if your own skates are worn down, you can get them sharpened at the booth.
The opening hours are fixed year by year depending on the weather, but as a general rule the skating rink opens at the end of November when Christmas shopping starts, and closes at the end of the winter break in February.

Tips and tricks
Make it a really good day by taking some delicious hot chocolate with you in a thermos.
At Christmas time you can also visit the Christmas Village in the city square and enjoy looking at the beautiful Christmas lights in Kongensgade.
If you need to warm up, then pop in to one of the many cosy cafés in the city centre.
In the vicinity
After your skating trip, go for a walk along Torvegade to Music Hall Esbjerg (Musikhuset Esbjerg) and continue your stroll along the Waterfront Promenade (Havnepromenaden) to The Gangway (Landgangen), where you can enjoy a view over the city park and harbour.
